After the fall of the Covenant, the Lodam Armory began to manufacturer the Storm Rifle, which is widely considered to be the successor to the original Plasma Rifle and Plasma Repeater. The reformed Covenant led by Jul 'Mdama uses the Storm Rifle as often as the original Covenant used the Plasma Rifle, and many Spartan-IV's use this weapon in there loadouts while doing missions.
